Lumatek Turrican White Reflector (100cm wide)

Lumatek have now got a parabolic reflector to accompany their range of digital ballasts. The design of the Turrican Reflector is in partnership with Qwod and delivers an incredibly even light. It also offers lower temperatures directly under the lamp. This means the reflector can drop lower to the plants without burning them, thus increasing the available light to the leaves. The Turrican is available in 2 finishes – White and Miro silver. White offers great reflectivity but to truly max out the lamp, choose the Miro option, which is 95% reflective, ensuring as much as possible of the light output is used.
What are the benefits of the vertical lamp mount in the Turrican Reflector?
One of the main benefits is that the light comes out equally on all sides and reflects evenly over the whole reflector. With horizontal lamps, the plane the bulb is held in, tends to get a better portion of light than the other plane at 90 degrees to it. This results in plants nearer the rounded end of the lamp may end up lacking in terms of light share.  The Turrican is 100cm across so will comfortably cover a significant area with even light, available to all plants. The vents in the top allow heat to drain away from the reflector which is how the system manages to maintain a better heat performance than similar competitors. Suitable for up to 1000w lamps.
